Accountability, built into union work.

PBMS brings AI and digital technology to the union movement, particularly in the criminal justice sector.

Our mission

To institutionalise accountability through robust union engagement: to make it part of how the union works, rather than something that rests on memory or goodwill.

PBMS helps representatives to:

  1. Record concerns

Take down what members raise, when they raise it, in their own words.

  2. Organise evidence

Keep the documents, dates and notes behind each concern together and in order.

  3. Secure decisions

Bring each matter to a clear decision, and note who decided what, and when.

  4. Follow through on commitments

Keep sight of what was agreed until it is done, and record what came of it.

People decide. The system keeps the record.

Technology in PBMS supports human judgement and the accountability of representatives; it does not replace them. Representatives, and the committees they answer to, make the decisions. Where AI plays a part, it assists the people responsible and never decides for them.
